Hydrozincite - Inyo County
Hydrozincite is also known as zinc bloom or marionite. It is a white carbonate mineral consisting of Zn₅(CO₃)₂(OH)₆. and occurs as an oxidation product of zinc ores and as post mine incrustations.
This specimen is from Inyo County, California. It has been cut, polished and has a felt base.
Measures approximately 7 1/4” x 7 1/2” x 6 1/2” and weighs approximately 22.5 lbs.
